Ward Village Breaks Ground on New Residential Tower

The Launiu Ward Village project is officially under construction! This 11th residential tower will bring 486 new homes, fresh retail spaces, and 21,000 sq ft of public open space to Ala Moana. More community gathering spots coming soon!

Road Closure Alert:

Kamehameha Highway (northbound lanes between Waipahu Street and Waipi'o Uka Street) will be completely closed from 3 a.m. Saturday, October 25 through 8 p.m. Sunday, October 26 for a student mural project. Traffic will be contraflowed using southbound lanes. Plan accordingly!

  • Downtown Honolulu Business Improvement District: Mayor Rick Blangiardi signed Bill 51, establishing a new BID to enhance economic and community activities downtown. Exciting times ahead for our city center!
